Ranger-14GS Green Pakka Wood, Satin, a large hunting knife in X50CrMoV15 steel with a universal saw on the back. The steel has undergone CRYO-T cryogenic treatment, also known as steel freezing. This improves the hardness and strength of the blade. Handle made of Pakka wood guarantees a comfortable and secure grip. Hand-stitched leather sheath included. It will not fail in any situation!
X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) – molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 56-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel was enriched by doping 15.0% chromium (Cr), 0.80% molybdenum (Mo), 0.20% vanadium (V).
The steel was subjected to CRYO-T cryogenic treatment , also known as freeze-thawing. CRYO-T results in a homogeneous internal structure of the steel which translates into a significant increase in the strength of the blade, increasing resistance to impact, stress and torsion.
Blade – wide Bowie type blade finished elegantly Satinized. Despite its thickness, the full flat grind provides excellent cutting qualities combined with superb durability. The low descending guard protects fingers from slipping on the blade while working. On the back a universal saw for cutting branches or rigid plastic.
Handle – made of pakka wood (laminate) stained green. Profiled Handle eliminates sharp edges for comfortable grip. A decorative pin with the company’s logo adds to the traditional look. Garda and hilt made of brass.
Sheath – hand-stitched, made of top quality brown cowhide with embossed manufacturer’s logo. The edges of the case are stitched with decorative thread. Fastened with a Prym type snap . The belt attachment allows the knife to be carried in an upright position .
