Glykon D/E Bayonet Black Aluminium /Bead Blast Titanium, Stonewashedis a large OTF(OutTheFront)automatic knife from the Glykon series.The first automatic with aTri-Sidedbutton, allowing complete ambidextrous operation, equipped with a hell of a fast mechanism that extends the razor-sharp blade. 100% made and assembled in the USA. Glykon OTF Line – the first automatic with a Tri-Sided button, allowing complete ambidextrous operation. The result of many hours of designing, constructing, testing, tweaking and repeating the process, bringing the gold standard in OTF automatic knives. With a modified Bayonet blade, a patent-pending button on three sides of the knife and a reversible pocket clip, the Glykon may just be the most user-friendly knife Microtech has produced to date.
Blade – machine groundD/E(DoubleEdgeBayonet) type, sharpened on both sides,finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed method.The blade was derived with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. As a result, the knife has excellent piercing qualities while maintaining its durability. The long, centrally located grain further strengthens the blade. The powerful mechanism of extending/retracting the blade by means of three moled stepped Thumb Slides located on both sides and on the back of the Handle requires, for safety, the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.
Handle – made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, the lower part made of black anodized 6061-T6 aluminium, the upper part made of sandblasted titanium. The surface texture of the Handle makes the knife non-slip in the hand during use. There are notches (jimping) on the back and bottom of the handle for a more secure grip. The ergonomic profile and the milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down (blade tip down) position. The clip bears the Microtech logo, serial number and production date.
