Dirac Delta® is the enlarged version of Microtech’s first D/A (Double Action) OTF automatic knife featuring a side-mounted slider recessed into the handle. This model offers a modern, ergonomic handle design with curved lines reminiscent of the iconic HALO® series.The Dirac Delta® incorporates signature Microtech® high-end features such as proprietary hardware, an innovative internal mechanism, and an integrated glass breaker.With an overall length of 9.25 inches, the Dirac Delta® is an excellent choice for everyday carry (EDC).
M390 Microclean® – martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, keeping the blade sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.9% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade- machine-groundfeaturing aD/E(DoubleEdge) Dagger, sharpened on both sides, with a long blood-draining slots (drainage inlets) on each side for added reinforcement.Finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed finish. The blade is brought out with a high flat grind, providing excellent cutting properties. As a result, the knife has excellent piercing properties while maintaining its strength. The centrally placed grain further strengthens the blade. The strong mechanism of extending/retracting the blade with the help of the moled Thumb Slide, a stepped thumb slide, requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.
Handle- made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. The surface texture of the Handle makes the knife non-slip in the hand during use. There are notches (jimping) on the back and bottom of the handle for a more secure grip. Characteristic is the location of the slider, in a recess milled into the side of the handle. Thanks to this, the hand lays more naturally when opening and closing the knife. The slim profile and the milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down position. The clip bears the Microtech logo, serial number and production date. The Handle is finished with a glass breaker, a solid steel triangle, into which a tungsten carbide ball has been pressed.
