Combat Troodon Signature Delta D/E Frag Shadow Black Aluminum, DLC F/S. The Combat Troodon from the Signature Series line is a limited edition Delta Frag Shadow model that features several significant upgrades. Anodized aluminum case with frag frenade texture. M390 steel blade with grooves (fluted), double edge and full serration on one side. Blade, fittings (HW) and glass striker finished with DLC coating. The hardware (HW) is Torx screws, allowing the knife to be maintained without Microtech’s specialized Tool Kit. Nickel- and boron-coated parts of the opening mechanism provide smoother operation and prevent corrosion. In addition, the Shadow version is distinguished by a pocket clip (pocket clip) with a deeply engraved (deep engraved) Claw logo and Anthony Marfione’s signature. Deep engraving is a process that uses a highly focused laser beam to engrave 3D forms into metals.

Signature Series – an elite line of Microtech products designed for buyers who are looking for a more exclusive touch to the much-loved Core Series production models (logo with claws on the knife). Combat Troodon OTF Line – Troodon is Greek for „wounding tooth.” Although the name was first given to the Raptor-like dinosaur, the name is equally appropriate for Microtech’s large OTF knife, designed for all sorts of uses and close combat. The over-the-top, double-action (D/A) automatic knife is a favorite OTF among law enforcement officers, US armed forces and emergency services personnel. Its rugged construction makes the Combat Troodon® suitable for heavy use, and the advantages of the Out The Front automatic also make it an excellent knife for everyday carry.
M390 Microclean® – a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of „wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade surface is enhanced with a black matte nanocomposite coating, which exhibits the unique properties of natural diamonds, such as exceptional hardness and low friction, also corrosion resistance. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade – machine ground D/E(DoubleEdge) Dagger type, sharpened on both sides with one edge F/S(FullSerrated) and the other Plain. Coated with black Shadow DLC coating.The blade is brought out with a high flat grind, providing excellent cutting properties. As a result, the knife has excellent piercing properties while maintaining its strength. The centrally placed grain further strengthens the blade. At the base of the headstock the characteristic special edition gouges (fluted). The strong mechanism of extending / retracting the blade with the help of a moled Thumb Slide, a stepped slide under the thumb requires for safety to apply a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The opening method provides a seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.
Handle – made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from black DLC-coated 6061-T6 aluminum. The distinctive texture of the Handle imitating the surface of a fragmentation grenade (Frag Pattern), in addition to visual value, makes the knife does not slip in the hand during use. The texture of the Handle’s surface and the deep notches (jimping) on it give more control over the knife during use. The slim profile and the milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down (blade tip down) position. The clip features a deeply engraved (deep engraved) Claw logo and Anthony Marfione’s signature. The Handle is finished with a glass striker, a solid steel triangle, into which a tungsten carbide ball has been pressed. It also features a hole for interlacing a decorative cord.
