Glauca B1 NS Black Aluminum, Black MIL-C, the result of a collaboration between Extrema Ratio, maker of the finest combat knives (combat knives) and folding tactical knives (tactical folding knives), and GIGN, the special operations unit of the French National Gendarmerie. A medium-heavy rugged, versatile folder withblade-tip designed to maximize penetration performance. The easy-to-sharpen tanto profile maintains a high sharpness of the cutting edge and penetration ability, regardless of the intensity of wear.
N690 – corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – solid with a double-edged modified Tanto shape, provides above-average cutting and penetrating properties. The blade is coated with black, chemically polished, non-reflective MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating. Combo partially serrated blade is derived with a Full Flat grind which provides strength, excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance on textiles, hard plastics, fibrous materials. Double Blade locking system: solid Liner-Lock mechanism supported by an additional lock. The steel double-sided hilt when the blade is folded, acting like a Flipper or like an Emerson hook, is complemented by a Thumb Stud, creating a triple quick-open system for the knife.
Handle – full-length with a length of 5”, similar to assault knives. Anodized aluminum grip grips are finished with a non-slip texture for a secure grip. The so-called open-backed design simplifies cleaning and maintenance. A three-position clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up / tip-down position with the tip down or up. The head of the folder is finished with a pin for breaking glass, on the back of the Handle a system for safe cutting of belts or disposable handcuffs.

Glauca B1 Sheath – an optional sheath made of a hard ABS structure, featuring adjustable polyester straps secured with Velcro. Applied on a Cordura base, the holster allows you to carry the folder with the blade open blade. It enables vertical carry on a belt or vest, while the Velcro-fastened straps allow for attachment to the thigh.
