Over the years, improvements have been made to make the SOCOM more adaptable to different tasks and environments. Manual or automatic, the SOCOM has a unique Handle shape that conforms to the hand. DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade’s surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry
Blade – Tanto type with a long cutting edge, coated with DLC. The solid thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The intricately milled grain fits visually into the concept of the knife, while enhancing the strength of the blade. Opened with a dual thumb stud in the wedge on both sides. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel insert to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle – made of two pieces of solid 6AL4V titanium milled with 3D CNC machine tools along with a perfectly fitted carbon fiber insert. The massive titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The titanium, like the Blade, has been coated with a black DLC coating. Chamfered edges of the cover and fore finger groove eliminate sharp edges and improve ergonomics. There are notches (jimping) on the back and bottom of the Handle for a more secure grip. A single-position (right) deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up (blade tip up) position. Behind the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
