AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – sharp, Spey Point profile, 5 mm thick, blackened except for the grind, with a clearly defined belly of the cutting edge. The plain edge blade features a low flat grind, typical for bushcraft knives. This grind type provides exceptional strength while maintaining excellent cutting performance.
Handle – the sandalwood scales are attached directly to the tang with rivets. The simple shape provides excellent ergonomics and a secure grip. The symmetrical design of the handle allows the knife to be held comfortably in either direction, ideal for users who prefer a reverse grip.
Sheath – extended, protecting the Blade along with part of the Handle, made of leather. Attaching to the belt with a loop allows the knife to be carried in an upright position.
