Damasteel®– Swedish Damascus steel, manufactured using powder metallurgy from two high-performance knife steel alloys with distinct patterns.It is a high-quality stainless steel with a unique pattern, combining excellent performance properties with exceptional aesthetics.It combines corrosion resistance with excellent strength.Both alloys are varieties of martensitic stainless steel and are already combined in more than 100 layers at the smelting stage with no visible joining points. The resulting pattern is intense on the surface, and the effect is strongest with a small bevel. Manufactured byDamasteel AB.
Blade – Trailing Point type,acid-etched grinds to bring out damask patterns, the rest of the blade is satin-finished. Thelong cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. Thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a index-finger flipper.A section of the blade’s back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle – is two pieces of solid 6AL4V titanium with striking Timascus inserts.The chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the fore finger groove improves grip security. The titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire construction. A single-position, right-handed titanium clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.
Case – the knife is packed in a zippered nylon soft pouch with the brand’s logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
