D2- high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high 13.0% chromium (Cr) content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade – Drop Point, finished with a blackwashed method to hide scratches and prevent reflections. Long cutting edge tapers to a needle-sharp tip. The thickness of the blade ensures high durability, while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth operation of the blade extension mechanism. When opened, the flipper fin forms a mini guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. Blackwashed – a blade finishing method that combines two techniques. Black Coating – the blade is coated with a black, protective, non-reflective finish. Stonewashed – after applying the coating, the blade undergoes a process that gives it a slightly aged, satin-matte appearance and effectively conceals minor scratches and signs of use.The final result is a unique, aged look with a matte, dark finish that is both stylish and practical. It is a more aesthetic variant of the classic black stonewashed finish.
Handle – G10 composite grips (glass fiber pressed under pressure with synthetic resin), textured for a better grip, screwed to the steel frame of the knife. The open-backed design without a typical backspacer is attached to each other with steel spacers, which makes cleaning easier. The simple, solid design guarantees many years of use. The deep forefinger groove improves grip. The pivot point is decorated with a stylized Kubey Knife logo. The steel two-position (right/left) deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in a tip-up position (with the tip of the blade up).
