D2 -high-carbon,high-chromium high-speed tool steelheat-treated to59-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of13.0%(Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
ReeveIntegralLock- (R.I.L.) reinforced, monolithicFrame-Locktype blade lock.One of the grips acts as the locking mechanism.
Blade – with Leaf-Shaped profile, covered with black oxide coating.Plain (smooth) blade was derived with Full Flat Grind. The enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) makes it easier to open the folder with cold or wet hands. The notched section of the Blade’s back, ramp (spine jimping) gives solid support for the thumb which makes it easier to operate the knife. The entire blade is locked with the proven R.I.L. (Reeve Integral Lock) lock.
Handle- thick pieces of titanium scales with a Disarray finish have undergone a thermal anodization process. The resulting colorful pattern is never repeated, ensuring that no two knife scales are ever the same! Fazed edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges. Open-backed design fixed with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. Metal clip with four-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. In the back of the Handle, a hole (lanyard hole) for attaching a safety line.
