Shrapnel ONE Black Forprene, Blackfull tang construction fixed blade all-purpose knife with a full-size assault knife handle. Perfect for hunting, outdoor activities, up to unrestricted military use. N690 – corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with the addition of molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Achieves a hardness of 58 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – solid Drop Point type, long false blade on the back improves piercing properties. The blade is coated with a non-reflective black coating. Cutting edge smooth Plain, full flat grind (Full Flat grind) with excellent cutting performance. On the back of the blade a notched thumb ramp (spine jimping) facilitates efficient knife handling. At the base of the Blade, a notched one-sided steel hilt prevents your hand from slipping on the blade while working.
Handle – 5-inch full length FH (Full Handle) type as in assault / combat knives. Non-slip textured grips with rubber-like properties, made of Forprene thermoplastic elastomer (flexible return, softness, chemical resistance), guarantee a firm grip even with wet hands. Steel Pommel with an oval hole (lanyard hole) for the line, can be used as a hammer or glass striker.
Sheath – tactical sheath made of abrasion-resistant, waterproof Cordura. Fastened with a Prym-type snap fastener. It has a belt or under-belt attachment of the M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) system, allowing the knife to be carried in an upright position on a vest or a body armor.
