Thunrar Backup Gray Steel, Satin strong, lightweight knife with a fixed blade and monolithic construction. Skeletonized handle grip with finger hole for a secure and comfortable grip in the most demanding conditions. The high-quality Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel blade features excellent sharpness retention, making it an excellent tool for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts. The flat kydex sheath, equipped with the Tek-Lok attachment system, which ensures easy and secure carrying of the knife.
14C28N – Martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Sweden’s Sandvik steel mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!
Blade -Clip Point type, finished with elegant satin finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the wide blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and the flat grind give excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. A notched section of the Blade’s back, the spine jimping ramp gives solid support, making the knife easier to handle for precision work.
Handle – tang of the knife with a series of holes to reduce weight and improve grip. At the top and bottom you will find a notched (jimping) section to improve control of the knife. The simple, solid design guarantees many years of use. Finger fore ring placed on the front prevents the knife from slipping while working and also allows you to perform simple manual work without putting down the knife.
Sheath – when designing, great emphasis was placed on the ease of carrying and retrieving the knife. Made of Kydex plastic. Complete with Tek-Lok, a practical multi-position mount suitable for attaching to the armor or to the trouser belt.
