AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – Drop Point type finished with elegant satin finish. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high concave grind (Hollow Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The washers support the smooth operation of the blade’s opening mechanism, which can be opened by a spring-activated button on the Handle. A section of the blade’s back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with a solid button lock.
Handle – made of black anodized aluminum, whose beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the fore finger groove made on the front improves grip security. The open-backed design, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. On the left grip, a button activating the opening mechanism, for safety tucked into a slight recess to avoid accidental opening.Behind the button a locking slide, further protecting against accidental opening. A single-position (right) deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up (blade tip up) position.
