N690Co – cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co) corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with higher cobalt (Co) content in its composition. It features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – Clip Point (Bowie) type, similar in shape to a military assault knife. Finished with glare-preventing Bead Blasted glaze. Bead Blasted extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the wide blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance.
Handle – grips made of walnut wood, extremely hard and resistant to mechanical damage. The texture of the material provides a comfortable and secure grip. At the blade a double-sided guard that prevents the hand from slipping on the Blade. Handle finished with a solid steel head which can be used as a glass breaker or hammer.
Sheath – made of high quality leather. We can hang it, for example, on the belt. In the lower part there is a hole for threading a cord to attach the sheath to the thigh.
