Defender Black FRN, Black Top Shield powerful Tactical Bowie knife, which was created for professional soldiers, military enthusiasts, survivalists. The blade is made of the popular Böhler N690Co steel. Handle made of FRN composite, comfortable and provides a secure grip, even in the toughest conditions. N690Co – cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co) corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with higher cobalt (Co) content in its composition. It features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – Clip Point (Bowie) type, similar in shape to a military assault knife. It has been coated with a black non-reflective Black Top Shield® coating. The belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the wide blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance.
Handle – grips made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) composite, a lightweight material, insensitive to weather, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. The texture of the material provides a comfortable and secure grip. At the blade, a double-sided guard prevents the hand from slipping on the Blade. Handle finished with a solid steel head which can be used as a glass breaker or hammer.
Sheath – made of kydex. Thanks to the innovative design compatible with the M.O.L.L.E. system, we can, for example, attach it to the accessory. In the lower part there is a hole for a cable attaching the sheath to the thigh.
