ROC SE Breakthrought Toxic Green Aluminium, Two Tone Battleworn Black MagnaCutone of the most unusual CurvedOTF (Out The Front) automatic knives. It features the perfect fit and finish you’d expect from a top-of-the-range knife with an extremely rare Blade and handle shape. The over-engineered Double Action (D/A) mode of operation uses a powerful and powerful patent-pending opening mechanism. The mechanism uses ball bearings to reduce friction and ensure fast, smooth blade locking. Designed by Anthony Marfione Jr. owner of Heretic Knives.
CPM MagnaCut – Powdered stainless steel manufactured using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more 'conventional’ steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut has succeeded in creating a steel that combines unique properties like no other knife steel. The result is a blade material that offers an extraordinary balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is currently no other steel on the world market that offers a comparable combination of excellent properties. This unique steel is produced in the US steel mills of Crucible® Industries.
Blade – SE(SingleEdge)Hawkbill type with a single cutting edge. The blade is finished very impressively with the Two Tone Battleworn Black technique, the grinds are black-coated and lapped, the rest is satin-finished. The blade is Plain, with a high Flat Grind for excellent cutting qualities. This gives the knife excellent piercing qualities whilst retaining its strength. The mechanism for extending/retracting the blade by means of the moled Thumb Slide, a stepped slide under the thumb, requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The opening method ensures trouble-free opening for both right- and left-handed people.
Handle – made on CNC milling machines with excellent precision, from 6061-T6 aluminium finished using the Breakthrough method. The characteristically curved shape adapts perfectly to the blade. The slim design allows the knife to be tucked into any pocket. The single-position (right) deep-carry rollerballclip, allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in tip-down position (blade tip down).
